Sustainability Commercial Lead

The Opportunity

You would be leading Minimum’s commercial strategy. Your role will be a combination of:

  • Responsibility for our lead generation processes across multiple channels. Methods for this include, but are not limited to, attending industry events and conferences, creation of thought leadership material, networking, marketing, outbound campaigns and inbound lead generation.
  • Guiding prospective clients through the sales process, clearly defining scopes of work and pricing engagements.
  • Managing client relationships and guiding them on their sustainability journeys, in conjunction with the delivery teams.
  • Working with the co-founders and the product team to develop Minimum’s innovative proposition centred around streamlining the carbon accounting process.

You are joining a tight-knit team where everyone knows and cares about each other and what they're working on. You'll report to James Parker, our founding sustainability lead, but you will interact very frequently with all the wider team.

The Skillset - Essentials

All (or some) of the following:

  • 4+ years of experience in sustainability sales and business development
  • Strong communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience selling sustainability solutions to enterprise clients
  • Experience developing stakeholder engagements, including building and managing long-term client relationships
  • Confident and self-motivated
  • Ability and drive to take ownership of projects
  • Comprehensive understanding of the wider ESG and sustainability trends and topics

The Skillset – ‘Nice to have’

All (or some) of the following:

  • Several years’ experience selling SaaS within key industry sectors
  • Experience with assessing sales productivity and key sales KPI frameworks

What the role will look like:

  1. Manage Minimum’s sales pipeline.
  2. Develop Minimum’s strategy for selling to enterprise clients.
  3. Lead engagement with companies’ forward looking sustainability strategies and journeys to Net Zero.
  4. Engage with prospective clients in the sales process to showcase Minimum's technical carbon accounting and management expertise.

This is a full-time role with a salary range of £50k-£70k per annum depending on experience.
